Excerpt:

Like a siren song to a sailor, the waiter hurried over to their table with a huge smile on his face. "Hello, ladies, you two seem like you're having a good time tonight. Welcome to Pecorino’s. I'm Marc, I'll be your waiter for the evening," He talked directly to Hannah, only seeming to include Annie in the conversation as an afterthought. "So, have you ladies had a chance to look over the menu? Would you like to hear the specials?"

"No, we know what we want. If you give her any more options, we'll never order." Annie gave Hannah another glare.

Hannah kicked her under the table.

"Ow!"

"You deserved it. She deserved it, didn't she, Matt?"

"Marc."

"Right, that's what I said. Marc, I'd like the biggest bowl of minestrone soup you have, and all of your garlic bread, and Annie," Hannah plastered a huge smile on her face to encourage Annie to smile at Marc, who in turn, only continued to smile at Hannah, "would like the rigatoni."

"I would not." Annie giggled and shook her head.

Marc frowned.

"Fine, then give the poor guy your order because he's been stuck at our table for like an hour."

"I want spicy sausage..."

"I bet you do."

"Oh my god! Hannah, you are the most embarrassing person in the world." Annie flushed a deep crimson. "I would like a single serving, spicy sausage flatbread pizza."

"Would you ladies like anything to drink?"

'Matt..." Hannah glanced up from her menu.

"Marc."

"Right, Marc. You're going to need to stop calling us 'ladies', because that's an assumption you don't want to be on the hook for any time in the near future."

"Uh, I'll bring you some waters." Marc went back toward the kitchen with awkward, hurried steps.

"And, your cheapest red wine," Hannah hollered after him. Shifting her attention back to her dinner date, she pointed at Annie with a stiff, accusatory index finger. "You want him so bad."

Bio:

Annabelle is a best-selling Romance and New Adult author, that is, when she's not checking homework or begrudgingly cooking dinner. Wife, mother, and creator of alternate worlds, Annabelle has a penchant for that which is outside the norm.

Her degree in Sociology has given her the ability to construct worlds that exist only in her head and translate them passionately to the page. The time spent studying individuals, interpersonal relationships, and particularly, women, within the constraints of our society led to Annabelle's unabashed ability to talk about sex as it fits into our modern lives.

She's also the author/personality of The Bombshell Mommy at Vitacost.com where she helps modern Bombshells and their families live “green”.

It's Summer Time Giveaway

Many of you are aware of my mother's passing in October of 2016 and some of the other things that have been keeping my writing progress slowed, but I am working hard on catching up with those writing projects that came to a screeching halt at the end of last year.

Book three in my Bad Boy Fever series is well underway. I will be pushing to have Bound by the Bad Boy completed and released this year. Book two in my Lost Boys series, Kiss of Fire and Frost is also well underway and another of my books I will be pushing to complete.

Because I really do appreciate my readers and fans, and I'm thankful for your patience with me, I am doing an It's Summer Time Giveaway. What's on the summer giveaway list?

On A Dark Tide by Naomi Clark

Thanks for having me here today! I'm excited to share my latest Romance on the Go, ON A DARK TIDE, a story I constantly (and probably annoyingly) referred to as the Creepy Ocean Story whilst writing it. I'm a mermaid at heart. I love the ocean, whatever the season, whatever the weather. Nothing makes me feel as at peace or inspired as sitting by the shore. ON A DARK TIDE is one of several stories and books I've written with the ocean at its heart, and it won't be the last.

My jokey reference to it as the Creepy Ocean Story got me thinking about other creepy ocean stories. ON A DARK TIDE was partially inspired by that idea that the deep, vast ocean is concealing a very alien and inhospitable world from us - and that maybe we don't want to uncover it's secrets.

These three books share that theme, and were all incredibly formative reads for me growing up. Enjoy!
