Abel's Obsession by Lynn Burke

When faced with truth beyond faith, Abel must decide where he belongs—with the Amish community, or the woman who owns his heart.

Abel Beiler's story came about while visiting my parents in Amish country this past April. While leaving for home early Sunday morning, I pulled up to a stop sign at a four-way intersection as horses labored to pull their Amish owners and families in their buggies to Sunday worship.

One young man in an open buggy sat to my right at the stop sign, unsmiling, leaning forward, elbows on knees and reins slack in his hands. I had this overwhelming urge to smile at him, trying to bring a little sunshine to his miserable countenance.
My plan didn’t work, and even though I was in an SUV with 3 children, the idea of Abel and Dani slammed into my brain, occupying my thoughts the whole way home. I voice-to-text in my phone’s notepad off and on the entire seven hour ride back to Massachusetts as Abel whispered his struggle to find himself in my brain.
Abel’s Obsession is by far the raunchiest story I’ve written to date, and I’m hoping the most eye-opening as well. An oppressed life isn’t a joyful one, and finding the strength to free yourself isn’t always easy. Neither is the choice to take wing and fly.

Abel's Obsession
Cover Art: Jay Aheer, Simply Defined Art
Release Date: August 30, 2017

Be Warned: BDSM, restraints, sex toys, anal sex, spanking

A young man of religious fervor and self-control, Abel Beiler has every intention of honoring his parents and being baptized into the Amish church. The woman with red curls and flashing green eyes in the back of a convertible, however, makes Abel wonder what life with the English might be like.
He strives to withstand temptation, but the memory of the woman he yearns to dominate, coupled with the explicit images in his cousin’s filthy magazine, threatens his restraint.
Red, his sinful obsession, haunts his shameful dreams and becomes a secret part of his life. When faced with truth beyond faith, Abel must decide where he belongs—with the Amish community, or the woman who owns his heart.

Amazon UK:

Much later and hoarse from singing for two hours, my curiosity overrode my better sense, and I followed Eli into the hayloft of their barn. While I held the kerosene lamp, he climbed high into the rafters and returned with a magazine clutched in his hand.
“Got this from my new English friend, Toby.” He sat on a bale, opened the magazine, and turned it toward me.
Lust kicked me in the gut, and I couldn’t speak.
A naked woman lay spread eagle and bound by ropes to a bed, a blindfold and some sort of ball gag in her mouth. A man loomed over her, whip in hand. Tear streaks lined the woman’s face. Red slashes marked her thighs. Wetness coated the pink folds of her sex, glistening, and set my mouth to watering.
The image burned into my brain—submission in an entirely different way than the Old Order’s definition of the word. Spirituality is submission, is what had been reiterated in my ears since childhood. Self-surrender. The willingness to give up oneself to the community and Gott’s chosen leaders.
I soaked in the sinful picture, and for the first time in my life wanted power. Wanted control. I wanted a woman’s submission like the man in leather beside her owned. Unable to tear my gaze off the image, I struggled to swallow.
“Didn’t know people actually did this shit.”
Eli’s curse, the first I had heard from him, barely registered past the blood rushing in my ears. My body tensed as longing to be the man standing over that woman, whip in hand raced through me faster than any thoroughbred—or car.
The image of Red flashed in my mind, and suddenly it was her bound to the bed in the picture, breathing heavily, trembling, and begging for me…

Mid Week Tease - He wasn’t a gentleman either

Hi, everyone. Welcome to Mid Week Tease, where my author friends and I share a little something with you, our readers, from some of our past work, up and coming releases, and WIPs (Works in Progress). Thanks going out to Angelica Dawson for organizing our weekly teasing fun!

This week, my teaser comes from Bound by the Bad Boy (Book 3 Bad Boy Fever) which I'm currently in the process of writing. I'm hoping to be able to get the first draft of the manuscript to my beta readers within the next week or two.

A brief set up to what you are about to read. Syn has been asked by the heroine, who he just met only minutes before, to be tied up. Enjoy!

“Come again?” Syn asked, fighting to keep his face impassive—not let the surprise show.
Ms. Graye’s perfectly shaped eyebrows pulled down into a frown. For some bizarre reason, he had the urge to go to her and erase the wrinkle on her forehead with his lips.
“I want you to tie me up,” she repeated.
Yep. He’d heard her right. But here’s the thing. Syn would bet his last dollar the poised and polished girl before him, who was trying hard for bravado, had never before stepped foot into a club like his.
Syn’s gaze dropped to her fingers. Her elegant, fidgeting fingers.
Tell her to go.
Right. That would be the proper thing to do. What a good guy would do. The girl was clearly uneasy. Although, Syn didn’t always do the right thing and he wasn’t a good guy. And then, there was the other thing. It had been a long, long time since he’d found himself amused, as well intrigued.
Why has she asked to be bound?
As if that thought weren’t enough to keep him interested, here’s another little factoid. From the moment Ms. Graye walked into the sitting area of his practice room, all he could smell was raspberries and expensive chocolate. He didn’t know if it was her lotion. Her perfume. The shampoo she used.
Perhaps a combination of them all?
Okay. Syn got how ludicrous it was to want to know the answers to her specific body products by sniffing her hair and neck, nonetheless, Ms. Graye smelled delicious. So much so, in the space of a few seconds, he’d mentally stripped her bare, spread her out on a bed of silk with her arms secured above her head, and pictured tonguing every delectable inch of her smooth skin.
Fuck. He’d start with those pretty pink-champagne painted toes peeking out from her strappy shoes with the killer heels. Move to her ankle bone. Linger at her supple thighs...
“Master Sykes?”
He heard her, but Syn remained silent, preoccupied with the thoughts of his lips on Noelle. Elle. Yes. Elle much more suited the young woman sitting so prim and proper across from him in her pricey attire oozing privileged little rich girl from her very pores.
Obviously, his quiet attention made her squirm. Yet it appeared she fought the urge and was trying to hide her unease as she uncrossed her ankles, only to cross them again left over right.
No doubt. He made her nervous.
Syn probably should say something to put her at ease. A gentleman would, right? But he didn’t. He wasn’t a gentleman either.
Studying her a few moments more, Syn couldn’t help but wonder. Was she just a tourist in his world wishing to take a walk on the wild side? Experiment?
“If you are interested in a temporary visitor’s pass, or a membership, you didn’t need to see me,” he said. “You could have spoken to Thorn. He’s my manager. He could have discussed rules, fees, and given you an application.”
She tilted her head, lips pursed.
What was her deal?
“Didn’t Marco explain that to you?”
Another question which plucked at his need for answers—how did Ms. Graye know his apprentice Marco Carrara anyway?
She blinked a couple of times. “I’m already a member somewhere.”
That response blew Syn’s mind. His radar must be on the fritz, something which rarely happened.
He took in her long, cinnamon-brown hair streaked with golden highlights, blue eyes so light they appeared to be more lilac than blue, and the pulse beating a frantic rhythm in the smooth, lickable niche of her throat.
Hell. He didn’t think she was old enough to be a member at one of the other Denver clubs. I should have questioned Marco more when he said he had someone wishing to meet with me.
“Kitten,” he said. “You are over twenty-one, right?”
Her eyes narrowed and she lifted her chin. “Of course I am.”
He’d insulted her with his query, but Syn wanted—no. He needed further clarification. “How much?”
“Excuse me?”
“How much over twenty-one?”
“I’m twenty-three.”
Twenty-three? She was far too young to take on in any capacity, no matter the enticements she possessed, like her splash of innocents or her angelic beauty.
“I’m not in the market for another rope model,” he stated, coolly. “I already have a waiting list.”
She worried her lush lip with her teeth.
Christ. Too young or not, his cock moved from the realm of curious to downright serious intent.
“Rope model? No—” she shook her head, sending some of her long hair swishing over her slender shoulders “—you don’t understand.”
“Clearly.” Syn leaned forward, placing his forearms on his knees, observing her and the way she broke eye contact. “I’m not looking for a submissive either.”
She gasped—lilac gaze darting up to his face. “As in, sexually submissive?”
He smirked, straightening. “Yes. As in.”

Book News - Book of the Month

Forever & Always is up for book of the month on the TBR Pile!

I'm so honored to have received such a lovely 5 Star Review and to be included with other great authors and books for August Book of the Month.

The second book in this series is just as intense and beautiful as the first book. Their relationship has me reeling and feeling like I am on a roller coaster with my emotions.

I am sad to see the story end, but their love is truly epic and forever!
Two Hearts, One Soul Duet is a must read series! -Amy, TBR Reviewer

If you would take a moment to pop on over to and vote, I would greatly appreciate it!

Soul Infection by Katerina Ross

Tristan Todorov, formerly one of the best scholars at the legendary and sinister Scholomance school of magic, was cast out and now travels alone through Eastern Europe offering discreet services as an unlicensed magician. In a luxurious hotel in Prague where he’s been invited to investigate a suspicious series of suicides, he’s about to meet someone who will make him remember the darkest secret of his past. Will a night of lust soothe Tristan—or will it stir up something evil and dangerous, something he’s tried so desperately to forget?

Jarek slid off the bed, the coverlet still loosely draped over his shoulders and trailing behind him like a king’s cloak. In the gap between the folds, Tristan could see everything he wanted to.
“Don’t move,” Jarek told him softly. “Keep your hands to your sides.”
And Tristan obeyed.
“Interesting,” Jarek mused, trailing a finger along his collarbone.
Tristan sucked in a deep shuddering breath, but stayed still. It felt odd, letting this happen. Jarek slipped his hand lower, casually brushed it across Tristan’s perked nipple on the way, and then traced a path down his chest and over the muscles of his abdomen. Tristan’s abs went taut at the feather light touch, and Jarek laughed quietly.
“Sensitive.” He stated the obvious. He let the coverlet slip from his shoulders—an effortlessly seductive gesture, probably well-practiced. A slow, crooked smile made the expression on Jarek’s face all the more lascivious, which was most certainly the intention. “I think I know what you need.”
Tristan looked down pointedly and then up, with a hint of sarcasm. “Well, that’s kind of apparent.”
He still felt nervous, but not as much as when he’d thought of being pitied or rejected.
Jarek quirked an eyebrow at him. “Is it? Hmm. We’ll definitely come to that, but why rush things? I’m here to take care of your wishes, even the ones you’re not sure you have. Why not try something new, something unusual?” He leaned in, very close, and Tristan felt Jarek’s warm breath on his lips when he whispered, “Just let me take control for a while, and you’ll see how good I can make you feel.”
The next moment, Jarek backed off, to Tristan’s disappointment, but maintained eye contact, and Tristan felt unable to look away, as if mesmerized. The tips of Jarek’s fingers now rested lightly on his hipbones, almost where Tristan wanted them most but not moving closer.
“Say yes,” Jarek coaxed him in a low voice. “Say you give in to me tonight. It’s easy, giving in.”
“Yes,” Tristan breathed out, not sure what he’s agreeing to and not caring in the least.

Guest Post: Double Trouble from Adriana Kraft

One of my favorite recent memes from FaceBook reads as follows: When I get old, they’re never going to say “what a sweet old lady.” They’re gonna say “what on EARTH is she up to now?!”

If that sounds like trouble, hold on to your hat—we’ve got a double dose heading your way. Our two recent erotic romance ménage releases feature leading characters at mid-life.

Baby boomers ourselves, we often write characters in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s and beyond. If that’s not what trips your trigger, these two books aren’t for you – but, with any luck, all of us will reach these ages eventually, and we hope our readers do so with vim, vigor, and yes, a vibrant and active sex life. We like to think some of our characters can light the way.

Hot to the Touch takes the mid-fifties couple who star in our Swinging Games series to a clothing optional RV resort for some summer fun. In A Woman for Zachary, the early twenties heroine who starred in Seducing Cat hooks up with a mid-forties woman and an early-fifties man to ignite the spark that’s been smoldering between them.

                                     A Woman for Zachary Blurb:
It’s New York! Broadway beckons, but Meg has more fun keeping an erotic triangle going with her current flame, Zach Cullen, and her drama coach, Josie Patrice.

Zachary Cullen has ignored Josette Patrice’s overtures for years, but she agrees to take on his latest protégé-slash-arm-candy Meghan Keenan in her off-Broadway workshop theater. Though the girl has incredible talent, Josie would stake her reputation on that little thing being a switch-hitter, like herself, and she doesn’t want Zach to be duped.

Josie sets out to seduce Meg and expose her for what she is, but all bets are off when Meg turns the tables on Josie to hook her up with Zach.

Josie was shaking her head back and forth before Zach finished speaking. “That’s not enough.”
Zach closed the distance between the two of them.
She pressed her back against the wall, and he placed his palms against it, framing her head. She licked her lips.
What was he doing? She’d imagined him being this close countless times, but not in this way. Not in anger. Not struggling with his sense of fairness over sharing another woman. She kept her arms locked at her sides.
“That’s exactly what Meg said. What is enough? Do we draw lots for her?”
Josie shook her head.
“Maybe I can have her even days of the month and you odd days.”
“That might work.” Josie could hardly breathe. Zach’s male scent was overpowering. She’d agree to almost anything, if he just stayed where he was. She should be afraid of him, but she wasn’t. This was a man she’d known for a decade. He might be very angry, even deeply pained, but he wouldn’t hurt her—at least not physically.
“It works for parking cars in the winter. It’s a beginning, I guess.” His eyes darkened with a passion she couldn’t decipher. She watched his eyes shut and re-open.
And then his mouth was crushing against hers. She tried to breathe through her nostrils. His muffled groans filled her mouth. Tentatively, she lifted her hands to his shoulders. It was as if he was in a trance. She sighed and pulled him closer. Maybe she was, too.

                                     Hot to the Touch Blurb:
Can the summer get any hotter? Escaping Southern Indiana summer heat, swingers Brett and Jen check out a Minnesota clothing optional RV resort, where the rules are very different from the swing lifestyle venues they’re used to. When they spot a hot looking couple in the swimming pool, they’re definitely interested, but they know better than to make the first move. Will Paul and Kim turn out to be players, or will Brett and Jen get a cold shoulder?

“Hi guys,” Kim said, giving Jen a hug. “We ran into traffic, but we’re here at last. I love your outfit, Jen. That short skirt is just right for your long legs. You guys are fine dancers.”
“And you look fantastic,” Jen managed to say. “That top is so sexy. As you said, just a touch of mystery. And I love those dangling earrings. They sparkle nearly as much as you do. Absolutely stunning.”
“Thank you,” Kim murmured, turning to hug Brett.
“As stunning as you look,” Paul said, gathering Jen into his arms for a long hug. “You both look scrumptious. Good enough to eat. Right, Brett?”
Brett nodded.
Jen noticed Kim made no move to break away from Brett’s arms. She watched the olive-skinned woman drag her lips across Brett’s wrist before lifting it up and sliding onto the curved bench. Jen slid in from the other side, with the guys sitting on either end. A bare leg brushed against her left leg, a trousered one against her right. If those legs were meant to only tease, she’d be very, very upset before the night was over.

Things Are Changing

Hi, everyone. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and reading the last post on this blog. Don’t worry, though, I’m not disappearing...
