Once in the Emerald Isle Claire is stunned to learn that her grandmother’s stories were real: the Dubh Sidhe and the Four Fey Courts of Dublin do exist.   More shockingly, an ancient prophecy has tied their fate to hers. At a chance encounter Claire comes face-to-face with the stranger from her dreams, and breathless doesn’t begin to describe the effect he has on her!  As she finds herself caught between rivals for leadership of the shape-shifters, Claire is kidnapped and held in seclusion by the mysterious stranger’s brother as part of their battle for leadership of the their family.  Only Claire can help the mysterious stranger to save himself and his clan from losing their power forever.  If she chooses to…and if she can accept that passion can take many forms.

Excerpt:

The second she was gone the asshole in the room spoke up. “You’re wasting your time fighting it.”

His fork clattered to his plate. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Stop shoving me at your wife!”

Austin stared past Cord, his face filling with concern.

Shit. Ember stood in the doorway, eyes wide, frozen in place, clutching a white frosted cake heaped with strawberries.

Goddamn Austin and his stupid ideas. “Ember—”

“I…I forgot the knife.” She quickly placed the dishes on the table, her steps faltering, and fled to the kitchen.

“Great,” Cord snapped, bunching up his napkin and tossing it on the table. “Enjoy your fucking cake. I’m out of here.”

Austin opened his big mouth, but Cord was done talking to him. Reasoning with Austin was like trying to discuss physics with a chimp. “Shut it, Austin.”

He detoured to the kitchen, unable to take his rage out on her. “Ember, I didn’t mean—”

“It’s okay.” Her fingers twisted into a dishcloth and then she dashed away a tear.

Fuck. Tears. Not tears! His concern shifted into panic. “It’s not okay. I don’t know what Austin told you—”

“I know what he’s up to. I told him not to do this.”

She fucking knew her husband was messing with him? It didn’t make any sense. “Why is he doing this?”

Now she shrugged. “He’s Austin. Once he gets something in his head…”

Cord rubbed his palm over his face and squeezed. “What does he expect to gain from this? He’s just making an uncomfortable situation worse.”

“He’s trying to fix it. He doesn’t understand, because he wasn’t there. He thinks if we put everything out in the open the guilt will go away. He thinks it’s best to deal with it.”

“Deal with it how?” He wasn’t a fucking puppet Austin could place in whatever position he wanted.

“I don’t know. I barely understand what I’m feeling right now. I can’t pretend to understand what he’s going through. Or you, for that matter.”

All thoughts of her husband vanished as he focused on the ‘f’ word, for his sins. “What are you feeling?”

Her face tightened and her hand pressed into her chest, her eyes betraying her show of bravado. “Here. It hurts. I don’t know how to make it stop, Cord.”

“Hurts how?” He took a slow step closer, keeping his voice low.

Eyes pleading, she looked up at him, her mouth tight with worry. “When I’m near you, my heart beats so fast I’m afraid it’ll explode. But I know I can’t… I can’t express what’s inside of me. Then this unbearable ache takes hold. It just…hurts.”

The Night Gardener by E.D. Parr #M/MRomance

Architect, Dane Lovell takes an off-season vacation in an old New England mansion, hoping to ease his broken heart, and spark his imagination. Impressed by the pretty gardens, he’s surprised by the sinister atmosphere of the river than winds through the estate. Dane settles down to his vacation and tries to immerse himself in his drawings. One night, the sound of the back door smashing open in the wind and rain shocks Dane from his work.

Spooky, gorgeous, and enigmatic Zachary Yarrow has brought logs for the fire.
He’s the estate gardener and brings with him not just passion and a love affair for Dane, but a strange, spine-tingling mystery.

Who is Zachary, and what will happen when Dane finds out?

From the author
Inspired by some wild countryside, and a rushing river that stormed under a bridge so loudly, I couldn’t hear what a friend said to me, for me this story is as much about nature as love. I’ve always believed there are more things in the elegant stream of life than we know about, and this story is about a young man who loves life so much he finds a way to live it. There are some heartstring tugs in this story, and some hot love scenes, because this is a love story. It’s a journey for both characters, Dane and Zachary to deep, lasting love.

Read an excerpt

The gardener slotted his logs into the spaces between other logs already in the nook bricked into the side of the fireplace. “Zachary Yarrow.”

Dane folded his arms over his body, wishing he’d thought to close the door as chilling air swept along the hall and into the room. “Dane Lovell.”

Zachary stood, having completed his task. “You’re here off season. I guess you know. I always do the gardens off-season—have done for the last—well, for years. When I’m here, I usually stay in this cottage. I guess I need to find somewhere else this time.”

Cold, Dane accepted the information with a nod. “I need to close the door, Mr. Yarrow.” He returned to the back door and closed it up.

Zachary Yarrow had followed. “You can call me Zachary.”

Dane hung around near the back door. The gardener showed no signs of leaving and Dane didn’t know how to be rude enough just to ask him to go.

“It’s way too dark to garden. You’re wet through.” Dane’s gaze ranged over the sodden sweater Zachary wore, and along the rain-darkened jeans covering Zachary’s muscled thighs.
The guy has to be cold. “Can I offer you a cup of coffee?”

Zachary grinned happily. “A cup of coffee, yeah, that will be great, thanks.”

Dane led the way back into the kitchen. “Sit by one of the radiators and try to dry out a little.” He put water to boil and heaped instant into mugs. “I can lend you a dry sweater…”

Zachary leaned close to the radiator. “It’s okay. I’ll drape my sweater on here. It’ll be dry in no time.” He pulled the soggy item over his head and arranged it on the hot metal flutes.

Dane experienced a shock of attraction as he took in the smooth, muscled chest on display when Zachary turned to him.

“Look, it’s already steaming.”

Dane tore his gaze from Zachary’s body and glanced at the sweater. The kettle boiled and he whipped around to make the coffee, thankful for the diversion.

“Do you take sugar or cream?”

Zachary’s voice came from immediately behind him. “Black, thank you, no sugar.”

Dane closed his eyes to dissipate the surprise Zachary’s silent approach gave him. He edged around to face Zachary, who stood so close Dane’s composure flew clean away as his whole body reacted to the proximity of this complete hunk.
Holy hell, he is completely gorgeous. Dane stepped sideways and picked up a mug. He handed it to Zachary. “Coffee, er, sorry, its instant. I’ve given myself a vacation from grounds and filters.” He smiled apologetically.

Zachary studied him for a few seconds.

Dane had the distinct feeling Zachary knew exactly what he was thinking.

Excerpt:

Taking deliberate steps forward, I again focused on my feet. When I glanced down, I saw the strap of my shoe slosh then tangle around the heel. I ignored it. I knew I had to make my way to the elevators, but in order to do that, I had to keep going.
Swiping wet hair from my neck and face I proceeded ahead. If I could just get to my room, I’d fully fall apart in solitude.
When I entered the main foyer of the lobby the low sound of voices drifted in my direction. It sounded as though someone was upset. Then one voice became more distinct from the others.
“How do they know I’m here?”
His voice while angry was like the voice of a familiar angel, smooth like silk, sweet like honey, and warm like velvet.
“You know how it is. All it takes is one person to leak. Everyone has cell phones, e-mail, text messages, and then there are those gossip blogs, Twitter… So before you know it, they’ve found you.”
Is that Zander’s voice?
The smooth angry voice spoke again. “I have already changed hotels twice.”
I glanced over in the direction the voices came from.
There, leaning up against the marble expanse of the concierge counter, I witnessed the back of a tall, lean, man, dressed in a black leather coat worn over a black hooded sweatshirt.
“Damn it,” he said. “This kind of shit drives me crazy.”
As though being pulled in his direction I took a step toward him.
The vision had to be more of the memories flooding me. The sound of his voice, while angelic, was also the voice of a destroying angel—a voice that could not be real.
No. No more pain. No more.
The silken voice became low, and even in tone. “I don’t want to switch hotels again.”
It jolted me. What I thought a memory, déjà vu or some sort of auditory hallucination became…real. I knew his voice but it wasn’t possible.
“I don’t care,” he said, “just make it happen.”
That wasn’t a vague echo or a broken memory. Had the impossible become possible?
No, I told myself, it can’t be, but the texture and tone rang out within the dark closed off coffers of my memories and sent icy cold chills over the entire canvas of my skin as something I hadn’t experienced in years happened again. The pull.
My world stopped, stood still in infinity.
“Not possible,” I mumbled from behind him.
Obviously hearing me, the man turned around and looked at me from beneath the black hood—his face a little scruffy from not shaving. But beyond the shadow of the hood were his eyes.
Oh, my God. He can’t be real. It’s…impossible.
His blue-gray eyes sliced through me—a bullet shot from a gun—and my body lost control. Beyond the fact I shook like a leaf my vision began to blur. My head felt like a helium-filled balloon, floating up, up, up, detaching from my body.
I no longer felt my legs.
Out of the corner of my eye, a large man was coming toward me. He said something.
“No, Jayden,” the angel said, holding out his hand to stop the man.
I heard my own voice ask, “Austin?”
Confused, weak, and perhaps crazy, I caved, no longer seeing anything as I crumpled to the floor.

International bestselling author London Saint James’ first installment from Two Hearts, One Soul Duet is the epic tale of abiding love, heart-wrenching loss, and an astonishing bond that will find a way to endure.

Winter Perri never truly understood love until she met Austin Carlyle—the man who would rock her world to its foundations and give her something to believe in. But the night before they were to be married, the fairytale shattered.

Thirteen years later Winter is pulled out of her seclusion only to have a painful past confront her, and when it does, she’s left questioning reality, because the impossible is looking back at her with the face of a destroying angel, and piercing eyes in too familiar shades of blue.

Dear Readers,

Some of you may remember this story as The Heart of Winter which was originally published in 2011 as a four book continuing series, Enchanted, Requiem, Revelation, and Eternal. While I have written many stories since then, Winter’s story was my first published set of novels. They say you never forget your first love and that’s true. Winter remains one of my favorite heroines and has always held a special place in my heart.

When the contract for this set of stories ended and the publishing rights came back to me, I knew I needed to retell it. Freshen it up. Add new content. So I stepped back into Winter’s world and made changes. Her entire story will be retold in a two book duet of novels.

I hope this new version of Winter’s story with bonus scenes will be one you fall in love with as much as I have.

XoXo
London

The invitations read in elegant, black script.
I’d graduated from college and just turned twenty-two. Austin was twenty-three. And yes, in just a few weeks, we were having a wedding.
Sitting on the third finger of my left hand stood a three-carat ring with three square-cut diamonds encased by emeralds, with more diamonds embedded in the band. It was more money than should have been spent, but Austin said it was a diamond for every year we had been together and the emeralds matched the color of my eyes.
Who could argue with that?
The night Austin proposed to me was not only a surprise but one of the best nights of my life. He’d taken me to the East Village Theater—something not out of the ordinary—we’d been there many times before. In fact, it was the place he took me on our third date.
What was out of the ordinary? The place was vacant.

Walking in the dim light down the long aisle, passing row after row of empty seats, I glanced up at Austin. “There’s no one here.”
He smiled down at me. “I know.”
“What’s going on?”
As though I’d asked the magic question, one beam of streaming light hit a gold-encrusted table up on the darkened stage and glittered.
I focused on the table. It was part of a stage set I’d seen once, sitting in Juliet’s bedroom when Romeo entered in through her window.
“Is this your way of telling me you’re the lead in a new Romeo and Juliet play?”
Austin chuckled but didn’t answer as he led me up on the stage and over to the table.
On top sat a single pink rose with a dazzling ring shimmering in the light that had been tied to the long green stem with a red silk ribbon.
My hand went to my mouth.
I was speechless and more than likely wide-eyed when Austin picked up the rose, untied the ribbon, took the ring into his hand, bent down upon one knee, then handed me the flower.
With shaking hands I took it.
He quoted a scene from Romeo and Juliet, only he’d said my name not Juliet’s as the sun.
Taking my left hand in his, Austin looked up at me from beneath his long, black lashes with eyes the color of sapphires. “Winter. I’m in love with you. I cannot imagine one day without you in my life, so I was hoping you would do me the honor of becoming my wife. Will you marry me?”
Reacting to the moment, my eyes began to overflow with tears. They streamed down my cheeks, dripped off my chin, and hit my hand in his in a sprinkle of abundant joy.
“Yes,” I said.
Austin placed the ring on my finger and kissed it. “I love you.”
He returned to his feet, his face beaming as I sniffled out, “I-I love you, too.”
